The specifications shall be taken as being generally applicable to the design and detail as indicated on the accompanying Working Drawings and will form part of the Contract. If any discrepancy between the specification and the drawings occur, the Contractor shall be deemed to cover the alternative which involves the greater cost, and no variation will be approved unless clarification has been sought and verification has been given by the Supervisor in writing, prior to the commencement of the contract.
